Historical Renovations

San Juan Capistrano Egan House

The Judge Egan House was built in Historic Downtown San Juan Capistrano in the 1890s. The project included the renovation and adaptive re-use of this historic house. Processing through City Planning and Design review approval was the first phase of the project. Structural seismic retrofit design, new accessible design bathrooms, and ramps were all a part of the design. Also, a small parking lot was designed at the rear of the building. The house went from being a residence for over 100 years to conversion to commercial use.

Historic San Clemente Casino

We had to obtain Coastal Commission approval and the City of San Clemente Design Review Approval in order to convert this historic building into a new event venue. The design included new accessible bathrooms and ramps.

Casa Miramar

Remodel and addition for a 1920’s Ole Hansen historic residence. We enclosed an existing breezeway, combined a master bedroom suite with a sitting room, a fourth bedroom, and a roof deck with spectacular 360-degree views of the ocean and the mountains.

Vine

This 1940’s building was redesigned with influences from the Spanish Colonial era and other historical motifs. This project was a City Redevelopment project where the city of San Clemente participated with the Owner of the building to upgrade the facade of the building.

San Clemente Art Deco Building

This restoration needed to go through the City of San Clemente Design Review Approval process, and the City agreed that this Art Deco Building was worthy of historic restoration.

The Kellogg House

This historic 1920’s Spanish Colonial Revival was the original ranch house of Kellogg’s Arabian Horse Ranch in Pomona. Later the land was donated to California to become Cal Poly Pomona. The house was completely restored, furnished, and upgraded to meet accessibility standards. It is now used as an event center on campus.

USC Doheny Library Reading Room

This was the redesign of the reading room with historically correct updates. The project included coordination with an architectural historian.

Historic Avenida Princesa

This 1920’s historic San Clemente home had been converted into a duplex in the 1940s. This renovation brought the house back to a single-family, two-story elegant home for the family by adding a new stair tower and updating all of the bathrooms and the kitchen.

Client Testimonials

My husband and I had a general concept as to how we wanted to remodel our 1950's style single story. Christine, Stephan and Erika have been exceedingly patient with us as we have gone through the process of figuring out exactly what we want. The design options they gave us were exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend!

Christine and Kristine have been amazing. They are very professional, patient and listen to what you want and need in your new home. This is our first remodel and have had so many questions and big decisions to make. I highly recommend them.

I have to say that I had reservations about working with another architect as the last one I had on a different project was more interested in making something in their style than mine and I felt like I was somewhat working against them, begging to be heard. NOT the case with Christine Lampert. I am 100% satisfied with my experience in so many ways. Christine is a brilliant architect with a huge portfolio of fantastic buildings in all styles. Our conversations are very productive (she KNOWS what she's talking about!) and she is readily available and responsive. I feel so lucky to have found her and I recommend her to anyone. Designing your dream home should be a joy and she has delivered that as well as a finished product that I can't wait to live in. Thank you Christine!

We found Lampert Dias Architects, Inc. 2 months ago. We purchased a single story house built in the 1940 and were looking for an architect that can incorporate the contemporary design elements we desired while still preserving the charm of the original home. Immediately, I was treated to a personal phone call from Christine Lampert. More than other architects we interviewed, Christine understood our ideas and was able to quickly come up with a design that made us feel our dream home can become a reality. Christine and her team were professional, courteous, responsive to our needs and have been a pleasure to work with. She was always available to answer any questions. Christine really listened to our needs and was able to translate those needs into a "dream home". We look forward to our finish project and would highly recommend them!
